Tom just shrugged, a smile playing at his lips. "Well...wasn't Oracle that I pulled out of that building, was it?" he quipped, pulling her closer again. "Cause that's where it started...that's the girl I fell for."
Then she was kissing him again, and he sure as hell wasn't complaining...he liked it when those flickers of fire showed through, when he got to see, to *feel* what fueled her inside. It was a kiss that said everything...from that day in the subway to the present, every word and feeling that the ordinary world didn't seem to leave room to properly express.
"Love you too, baby." he replied, then laughed when she glanced around quickly and commented on their plans. "I say we make it drinks at home...compromise. Y'know...if we make it to the beers in the fridge."
